Sanjay Kumar Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party defeats Kailash Kumar Mishra of the All India Trinamool Congress in Bally, winning by a margin of 11,997 votes after all 15 rounds of counting.
Bally is an assembly seat in Howrah district, West Bengal (No. 169). It forms part of the Howrah Lok Sabha constituency and covers Bally Municipality, an urban industrial area opposite Kolkata across the Hooghly River.
This 100 per cent urban seat has 176,155 electors and 196 polling stations, with SC at 3.63per cent and ST at 0.57per cent. Turnout was 71.49per cent in 2021.
In the 2021 election, AITC's Dr. Rana Chatterjee won with 53,347 votes (42per cent). BJP's Baishali Dalmiya got 47,110 votes (37per cent). CPI(M)'s Dipsita Dhar secured 22,040 votes (18per cent). NOTA: 1,205 votes (1per cent). Others under 1per cent each; margin 6,237 votes, turnout 71.49per cent.
