Alia Bhatt recently expressed her admiration for Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra, highlighting them as significant sources of inspiration for her Hollywood endeavors. As one of Bollywood's leading stars, Alia ventured into Hollywood with her debut in 'Heart of Stone' last year. Her acknowledgment of these accomplished actresses underscores the mutual respect and admiration within the Indian entertainment industry.
During a Forbes’ event conversation about her Hollywood ventures, the 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani' actress acknowledged the influence of Indian actresses in Hollywood, citing Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, and Deepika Padukone as her sources of inspiration. She credited them for normalizing the transition from Bollywood to Hollywood, acknowledging their significant contributions to the industry.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt recently concluded filming for Vasan Bala’s 'Jigra,' where she shares the screen with Vedang Raina in pivotal roles. Notably, she has also co-produced the film alongside Karan Johar. Additionally, Alia has signed on for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Love and War,' starring alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
Alia Bhatt is set to expand her cinematic repertoire by starring in a standalone film within YRF's Spy Universe. Speculation about her debut in the production house's spy franchise, alongside titles like the Tiger series and 'Pathaan,' has been rife for some time. The confirmation of her involvement in the standalone spy film was officially announced by Yash Raj Films’ CEO, Akshaye Widhani, during the FICCI Frames event.
Alia’s standalone spy film will mark the sixth installment in YRF's spy universe. To date, the production house has released five films within this realm, namely 'Ek Tha Tiger,' 'Tiger Zinda Hai,' 'Tiger 3,' 'Pathaan,' and 'War.' While Alia's project has been officially confirmed, rumors suggest that YRF is also developing 'War 2,' featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, as well as 'Pathaan 2,' marking Shah Rukh Khan's return as Pathaan.
