The schedule covers multiple competitive examinations conducted by the commission for central government posts across various ministries and departments.According to the revised calendar, major examinations including Combined Graduate Level (CGL), Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL), Stenographer, Junior Engineer (JE), Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Constable (GD) recruitments will be conducted through computer-based examinations (CBE) during different months of the year, as part of the commission’s annual recruitment cycle.Key SSC examinations and notification scheduleThe calendar provides the timeline for advertisement release and application closing dates for major examinations. Candidates are required to complete online applications within the specified windows mentioned by the commission.The Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 notification will be released on March 31, 2026 and applications will close on April 30, 2026.
The Tier-I computer-based examination is scheduled between May and June 2026.For the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2026, the notification will be issued on April 30, 2026 with the last date for submission of applications on May 31, 2026. The Tier-I examination will take place between July and September 2026.The Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2026 notification will also be released on April 30, 2026, with applications closing on May 31, 2026. The examination is scheduled during August and September 2026.
