Was the Iran war always about China? The oil math is striking: Iran sent 90% of its oil to China, Venezuela sent 75%, together supplying nearly a fifth of China's daily needs and Trump struck both in two months. China's HQ-9B missile defence has now failed three consecutive real-world tests against India in Sindoor, Venezuela, and Iran. China's $400 billion Iran partnership and $60 billion Venezuela investments have effectively collapsed. The yuan oil trade from both countries has been destroyed. Whether this was Washington's grand design or a strategic windfall, the damage to Beijing is real and it arrived all at once.
