Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Sunday demanded that the state govt provide the incentives only to Hindus.
The VHP in a statement said Hindus witnessed a sharp decline in birth rates over the past several decades due to adherence to population control policies.
It said many Hindus reduced family size and the new incentive should specifically support Hindus.
