AP govt releases ₹919 crore to NTR Vaidya Seva hospitals
Vijayawada: The state govt on Tuesday has released another Rs 919.13 crore towards pending dues to private hospitals empanelled under the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust.According to NTR Vaidya Seva Trust CEO KVN Chakradhar Babu, 782 out of 785 private hospitals applied for pending payments through the Tri-Party Bill Discounting Agreement mechanism.To expedite the settlement process, the govt adopted the bill discounting mechanism following requests from hospital managements. Payment applications were processed through the Andhra Pradesh Centre for Financial Systems and Services (APCFSS) bill discounting portal.Agreements were executed among the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, hospital managements, and the Power Finance Corporation, enabling the dues to be directly credited into hospital accounts.Chakradhar Babu said that since assuming office, the coalition government has paid Rs 5,556 crore to private hospitals associated with the Trust. With the latest release of Rs 919.13 crore, the government said it continues efforts to ensure timely payments and strengthen healthcare service delivery in the state.
