Unable to fund sister’s wedding, teacher dies by suicide in UP
BALLIA: A 25-year-old coaching teacher allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself in the Ubhaon police station area, police said on Tuesday. The deceased, identified as Manish Sharma, was reportedly under severe mental stress due to financial difficulties and his inability to fund his sister’s upcoming wedding.According to police sources, Sharma, a resident of Bithua Mor locality in Bilthra Road town, worked at a local coaching centre. He allegedly took the extreme step on Monday evening by hanging himself from an iron angle inside the coaching institute premises.Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination on Tuesday.Deputy superintendent of police (Rasra), Alok Gupta, said that preliminary investigations suggest Sharma was facing financial distress."He had to arrange money for his sister's marriage, but his income from teaching was not sufficient to meet the expenses. Distressed over this, he allegedly ended his life due to depression," the deputy SP added. (With agency inputs)
