Thousands throng PM Modi’s roadshow
Vadodara: Thousands of Barodians turned to catch a glimpse of PM Narendra Modi during the road show in the city on Monday evening. Even the extreme heat didn’t stop citizens from thronging the road show, which was held organized between Gadaa Circle and the Vadodara airport in Harni.PM Modi accompanied by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and home minister Harsh Sanghavi travelled in an open car and greeted people. Many Barodians were seen clicking photos and recording videos of PM Modi and chanting his name. “We have come here just to watch him from up close,” said an onlooker. Police had deployed heavy security in the eastern part of the city ahead of the PM’s visit. The traffic roundabouts and trees in Harni and Waghodia Road were illuminated by the civic body to welcome the PM. Most roads around Harni were closed to vehicles. Alternative routes were given to ensure commuters didn’t get stuck due to the road closures.
