Hazaribag: Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad of the Jharkhand high court inspected the observation home (juvenile correction home) and the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Central Jail in Hazaribag on Friday to review facilities and compliance with legal provisions for inmates.
During the inspection of the observation home, Justice Prasad interacted with convicted juveniles and took stock of the facilities provided to them. He reviewed arrangements related to food, the Juvenile Justice Board, library, medical and counselling rooms, meeting facilities, hostel, toilets, electricity supply, and security, issuing necessary directions to the authorities concerned.
The juveniles presented yoga and exercise demonstrations to welcome the judge. Later, he visited the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Central Jail, where he toured the premises and assessed the basic amenities available to inmates. He interacted with prisoners and emphasised that every inmate should be aware of the status of cases pending against them.
