Woman shot dead over road dispute

Patna: A 21-year-old woman, Gunjana Kumari, was shot dead in Madhepura's Kaushalya Nagar area on Sunday over a road dispute. Her husband, Aditya Raj, alleged that the accused, Balkaran Yadav, a drug addict, frequently abused his family while passing through the road. Madhepura ASP Pravendra Bharti said the conflict began over a 100-metre stretch of road Aditya Raj had allowed his neighbour to use about five years ago. Balkaran Yadav's repeated misbehaviour escalated into a heated argument on the day of the incident, prompting further family involvement.
