RPF conducts anti-encroachment at Mithapur vegetable market

Patna: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted an anti-encroachment drive at the Mithapur vegetable market located beneath the road over bridge (ROB) near the western end of Patna Junction on Saturday evening.According to Danapur senior divisional commercial manager (senior DCM) Abhinav Siddarth, the operation targeted illegal commercial activities being carried out on railway property where the market had been functioning without authorisation for a prolonged period.During the enforcement action, 26 individuals involved in unauthorised vending and commercial activities on railway premises were detained under relevant provisions of law. The operation was conducted as part of an ongoing campaign to reclaim and safeguard railway land from encroachments, Siddarth said.
