Governor pays tribute to martyrs
Patna: Governor Syed Ata Hasnain on Thursday visited the Bihar Regiment Centre (BRC) at Danapur cantonment and lauded the courage, dedication and sacrifices of the soldiers of the Bihar Regiment.During his maiden visit to the cantonment, the governor was accorded full military honours at the BRC ground. He laid a wreath at the war memorial as a mark of tribute and remembrance to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in service to the nation.The governor also interacted with soldiers and NCC cadets and appreciated their commitment, discipline and patriotism, BRC commandant Brig Rakesh Kumar Bora said. Bora added Hasnain later recorded his views in the visitors’ book and praised the rich legacy and distinguished service of the Bihar Regiment.Among those present during the visit were general officer commanding Lt General Pawan Chhada, Danapur station commander Brig Amit Bedi, Brig Rakesh Kumar Bora, Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar, IG CRPF Raj Kumar, DIG SSB Amit Mathur and other senior officials of the BRC, a BRC official said.
