Buxar: District magistrate Sahila on Friday directed the district project manager of Jeevika to transform “Didi ki Rasoi” into a model facility and rebrand it as “Didi ka Cafe”.
The directive was issued during a review meeting held here with officials from the rural development department, district registration and counselling centre, and Jeevika.
While reviewing the progress of various govt schemes, the DM instructed officials to provide modern technology training to all Jeevika Didis. She also emphasised the need for better inter-departmental coordination to ensure that beneficiaries trained through the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) are able to access benefits under various govt welfare schemes.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow progress in generation of man-days under the G-Ram G scheme, the DM ordered withholding of one month’s salary, until further orders of programme officers posted at Buxar, Itadhi, Rajpur, Simri, Nawanagar, and Chougain blocks of the district. All block development officers were instructed to inspect sports infrastructure developed in their respective areas and submit reports with photographs within one week. The DM further directed officials to identify suitable govt land for the development of rural markets (haat-bazars).
Programme officers attending the meeting were also instructed to ensure 100% e-KYC completion of G-Ram G Rural Employment Guarantee Act workers within a week. Officials and staff from the departments concerned were present in the meeting.
