NOIDA: A 16-year-old boy was assaulted by three drunk youths in a PG facility in Mamura late Saturday night after a dispute. Police said they beat up the minor with sticks and gas pipe, filmed it and forced him to strip. Despite the boy’s pleas to free him, they continued to assault him for nearly 10 minutes. The accused fled after the boy’s friends arrived, issuing death threats. The video was later shared on social media.Police said the minor was asleep when the three men entered the room. The trio told him they wanted to stay with him for some time, which he refused, leading to the attack. The minor knew the three men, an officer said.Police said one of the accused, identified as Krishna (18), has been arrested, while two others are on the run.The boy is a Class 10 student. He had gone to a friend’s house at Gijhore in Sector 53 for a birthday celebration and returned to an acquaintance’s PG room in Mamura with two friends.“The PG facility is next to the boy’s home. He fell asleep in the PG. Around 2am, I asked other friend to drop me at my home. We latched the door and left.
During this, three men barged into the room, gagged the boy and assaulted him with a wooden stick and gas pipe. They even made him strip,” said one of the boy’s friends.He also said when his friend returned to the PG facility, he heard the boy crying and alerted police. The boy suffered severe injuries. A video circulating on social media shows two men assaulting the disrobed and bleeding minor with a gas pipe and a wooden rod as he begs to be freed.Police said the minor has been given medical care and is now stable.A senior police officer said the boy lodged a complaint at the phase-3 police station under BNS sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 352 (intentional insult).
