Nagpur: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has scheduled a four-hour power shutdown in several parts of the city on Tuesday, May 5, to undertake urgent maintenance, repair works and installation of new electricity poles.According to officials, under the Mahal division, new poles will be erected on an 11kV feeder from the Wathoda distribution centre. This will affect power supply in areas such as Vaishnodevi Nagar Chowk, Central Avenue, parts of Babulban, Ambedkar Chowk, Jagjivan Ram Nagar, Chhapru Nagar and the Dawai factory area, where electricity will remain suspended from 7am to 11am.Similarly, under the Civil Lines division, repair works on another 11kV feeder will lead to power disruption in Purushottam Bazar, Mansarovar, Welcome Society and Zingabai Takli during the same time period.With summer conditions intensifying, residents have been advised to plan their essential activities accordingly and cooperate with the power utility during the scheduled outage.
