24-hour water cut in parts of Mangaluru from May 18
Water supply disruption
Mangaluru: Water supply will be disrupted for 24 hours in several parts of Mangaluru city from 6am on Monday to 6am on Tuesday due to maintenance work by the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC).According to the MCC, the shutdown is required to replace a Non-Return Valve (NRV) on the 1,100‑mm‑diameter main pipeline that carries water from the Thumbe LLPS‑2 80 MLD pumping station to the city.During the period, water supply will be completely suspended in Padil, Maroli, Kankanady, Mangaladevi, Jeppu, Falnir, Mulihithlu, Bolar, Car Street, Mannagudda, Pandeshwar, State Bank, Shaktinagar, Kannur, Bajal, Jappinamogaru, Alape, Attavar, Ulhasnagar, Chilimbi, Kodikal, Urwa Store, Ashoknagar, Kudupu, Vamanjoor, Bondel, Kavoor and parts of Marakada.
