Woman gets burn injuries at mall beauty parlour

Kolkata: A 32-year-old woman suffered serious burn injuries during a facial treatment at a beauty parlour inside a mall located close to Hiland Park on Jan 21. She lodged a police complaint alleging negligence by staff, police sources said.According to the complaint, the woman visited the parlour on the second floor of the mall, around 6.30 pm on Thursday for a facial. During the procedure, an employee allegedly dropped a bowl containing hot, steaming water onto the customer's face and neck, causing immediate pain, redness, and burn injuries to the face, neck, and shoulder area. Police said a general diary entry was made at Survey Park PS on Jan 23. An FIR was eventually registered, and an investigation is under way. TNN
