Kochi: With the pre-monsoon rains intensifying, maximum temperature was reported below normal at many places in the state on Sunday.
Punalur reported the maximum temperature of 33°C on Sunday, which was 1.4 degrees below the normal temperature. Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram and Karipur airports, Kottayam and Naval Air Station in Kochi also reported below normal maximum temperatures on Sunday. Many places in the state reported maximum temperature below normal on Saturday as well.
Meanwhile, the yellow alert for heavy rainfall between 7cm and 11cm at isolated places in Kerala has been extended till Thursday. Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha will be on yellow alert on Monday.
Meanwhile, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds warning will continue till Thursday.
