Mani C Kappan expresses discontent over not getting ministry

Kottayam: MLA elect Mani C Kappan expressed disappointment at not becoming a minister. Speaking to a news channel on Tuesday, he said people from his constituency called to complain, and he was assured of a ministerial position in the second term. He said the agreement was for Anoop Jacob to have two and a half years and for him to have the same duration. He clarified that both parties accepted the term arrangement together. He also said that he has been promised a cabinet rank position until he gets the ministerial post after two-and-a-half-year period. Kappan said he planned to meet the chief minister in person to request it. Kappan also alleged that an individual within UDF was responsible for him not getting the ministerial position, but he did not disclose the name.
