After Kerala poll blank, crucial KC(M) meet on Saturday
KOTTAYAM: After facing a complete rout in the assembly polls, Kerala Congress (M) will hold its steering committee meeting in Kottayam on Saturday. The meeting will be held at the party headquarters from 10.30am.
According to KC(M) general secretary Stephen George, party chairman Jose K Mani will preside over the meeting. Apart from analyzing the humiliating defeat, the future plans of the party will also be discussed in the meeting.
All the 12 candidates of the party lost the elections, while its rival Kerala Congress (Joseph) put up a good show. Seven of their eight candidates won the elections, and they are likely to stake claim for two ministerial posts. Even the MP representing Kottayam is KC(J)'s Francis George.
KC(M) is also in danger of losing many of its leaders and workers, as many are keen to leave the party and join the Joseph group.
