Ramco factory owner’s brother dies after Bhiwadi blaze

Alwar: Harpal Yadav (31), brother of Ramco Metal factory owner Devendra Yadav, died during treatment at a Delhi hospital on Friday, a day after suffering severe burn injuries in a fire that broke out at two factories in Bhiwadi’s UIT industrial area.Five people, including Devendra Yadav and Harpal, were injured when an oil tanker placed atop Ramco Metal Factory exploded Thursday around 2 pm, triggering a fire. The blaze spread to the neighbouring Alshok LLP unit after oil from the tanker spilled over following the blast.Workers were evacuated through rear exits and other safe routes, while some escaped by jumping over boundary walls. Besides the two brothers, employees Dinesh and Chhatar Singh and another person sustained burn injuries.Due to the severity of their injuries, Devendra Yadav, Harpal Yadav and Dinesh were referred to a Delhi hospital. Harpal succumbed to his injuries, while Chhatar Singh is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhiwadi.Harpal, a chartered accountant, ran a coaching centre in Bhagat Singh Colony and also managed the factory’s accounts. According to family members, he had visited the factory for work and was sitting with his brother in the office when the accident occurred.Following news of Harpal’s death, relatives, friends and local residents gathered at the family’s residence to offer condolences.He got married in 2018 and is survived by his wife and two daughters.
