MPPSC Releases Revised 2026 Exam Calendar, State Service Mains 2026 From Sept 7
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) on Friday released its revised examination calendar for 2026, outlining schedules for several major recruitment examinations while continuing suspense over the long-awaited State Services Main Examination (SSE) 2025.
According to the revised programme issued by the commission, SSE Mains 2025, which was earlier scheduled to begin from June 9, 2025, will now be conducted only after orders from the High Court. The uncertainty surrounding the examination has left thousands of aspirants awaiting clarity on the revised dates.
The commission, however, announced that the State Services Main Examination 2026 will be held from September 7 to September 12, 2026. Similarly, the State Forest Service Main Examination 2026 has been scheduled from September 27.
A large number of Assistant Professor recruitment examinations for various subjects under the Higher Education Department have also been included in the revised calendar. Examinations for Sanskrit, Geography, Psychology, Law, Geology and Yogic Science will be conducted on July 12, 2026. Exams for Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Hindi and English are scheduled for August 2, while Physics, Chemistry, History, Botany and Mathematics examinations will be held on August 30.
The commission also announced dates for several departmental recruitment examinations, including Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Examination 2025 on August 2, Assistant Town Planner Examination 2026 and Specialist Ayurveda Examination 2026 on September 20, and Assistant District Prosecution Officer Examination 2026 on October 18.
Meanwhile, Ayurveda Medical Officer, Homeopathy Medical Officer and Unani Medical Officer examinations of 2025 continue to remain stayed following court orders.
MPPSC clarified that the examination schedule remains tentative and may change depending on administrative or judicial circumstances. The commission also advised candidates to carefully verify eligibility conditions before applying, warning that incorrect information may lead to debarment at any stage of the recruitment process.
