HYDERABAD: The Telangana high court granted two-month interim medical bail to Gade Innaiah, alias Gade Inna Reddy, a former Maoist and social activist, to undergo physiotherapy following surgery. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested him for allegedly making statements in support of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist).A vacation bench of Justices Nagesh Bheemapaka and Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy passed the order on June 4, permitting him to stay at his daughter’s residence in Kukatpally until Aug 4, 2026.Innaiah said he underwent surgery on April 27 and required physiotherapy for recovery. The NIA placed on record prison authorities’ confirmation that Chanchalguda Central Prison lacked specialised physiotherapy facilities.Noting this, the court allowed bail with strict conditions, including police surveillance at his residence and restrictions on visitors to family and counsel. It warned that any interference with investigation would lead to cancellation.
