‘Revolutionary changes in farming under Cong’
Hyderabad: Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has stated that revolutionary changes occurred in the agricultural sector under the Congress rule.On Monday, he inaugurated the Farmers' Week celebrations (May 4-9), part of the public administration and progress plan, held in Tandur, Vikarabad district. He launched a special mobile app ‘TG Organics' and inaugurated an organic products exhibition centre. He explained that only products from farmers certified by Telangana State Seed and Organic Certification Authority would be available on the app, ensuring access to genuine organic food. Consumers can purchase fresh vegetables, fruits and grains directly from farmers without intermediaries. He mentioned that consumers could find and buy products from organic farmers within a 50-km radius. Without the involvement of middlemen, farmers could receive fair prices for their produce. He said more services would soon be available on the app.
