Mass wedding & upanayana ceremony held in Hubballi

Hubballi: The Samata Seva Sanstha and Navayuga Sanghatane, inspired by Union minister Pralhad Joshi, held a mass wedding and upanayana ceremony at Akshay Park Santhe Maidan on Gokul Road in Hubballi on Sunday. For the past 24 years, the city has hosted Sarvadharma upanayana rites and mass marriages. This year, 36 upanayanas began at 8am, followed by 17 weddings in the afternoon. Addressing the gathering, MLA Mahesh Teginakai said that under Krishna Ganda Galekar's leadership, these upanayana and marriage ceremonies were conducted smoothly every year for 24 years. He noted that such social service brightened many lives and helped reduce expenses. He added that members of the Navayuga organisation worked together tirelessly, day and night, to ensure the event's success, and he congratulated them. MLC Pradeep Shettar expressed gratitude to the Navayuga Sangathan, led by Krishna Ganda Galekar, for its commendable service to the public. BJP leaders Lingaraj Patil, Jayatheertha Katti, Siddu Mogali Shettar and others attended the event.
