Erode East Bypoll Result 2023 Live Updates: Congress candidate Elangova wins by margin of 66,000 votes

Congress candidate E V K S Elangovan, 75, on Thursday won the high-decibel Erode East bypoll by a margin of 66,233 votes over AIADMK's K S Thennarasu and is set to enter the Tamil Nadu assembly after 34 years."The entire credit goes to chief minister M K Stalin. People have voted for DMK's good governance and love for Rahul Gandhi," Elangovan told reporters in Erode.

Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Thursday said the Erode East bypoll result was a sign of people's overwhelming support to the Dravidian model government."I had asked people to weigh the performance of the DMK government and give their support. People have responded to the request and extended their support to the Dravidian model government," he said.
