New Delhi: An 18-year-old youth was stabbed to death in northwest Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area on Thursday evening, police said.
The victim’s mother claimed that her son had been receiving threats and alleged that she had approached the police station earlier regarding the matter. Police, however, clarified that the earlier complaint referred to by the family and the present murder case are not linked and involve different individuals.
Police said the attack took place around 7.30 pm near a lane in Bhalswa Dairy. The victim was brought dead to a hospital by one of his friends. He was unemployed and was a resident of Kalandar Colony jhuggis.
Police have seized exhibits from the crime scene along with two abandoned motorcycles found there.
A case has been registered under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. “Teams have been formed to analyse digital and technical evidence, while local inquiries are also being carried out in the area,” a senior police officer said.
