Gen Bipin Rawat Chopper Crash Live Updates: Lone survivor IAF Group Captain Varun Singh shifted to Bengaluru Command Hospital

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, defence minister Rajnath Singh and national security advisor Ajit Dobhal paid tributes to chief of defence staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, Brig LS Lidder and other defence personnel killed in the helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu. The mortal remains of the victims were brought to Palam Airbase in Delhi in an Indian Air Force C-130J aircraft at around 7.35pm. As per the health officials present at the spot, three people were rescued from the crashed chopper. The chopper crashed in a gorge near a small habitat in a tea estate near Kattery, around 7km from Coonoor. According to eyewitnesses, more bodies have been found trapped under the debris of the chopper.
