Shimla: Himachal Pradesh governor, Kavinder Gupta, on Wednesday visited the Govt Primary School at Gujrehra in Kangra district and interacted with students, teachers and education officials to assess the ground realities in the rural areas of the state.
During the visit, the governor received feedback about the academic environment, infrastructure facilities and the challenges faced by schools in remote areas. He encouraged students to continue their education with dedication and confidence.
The governor said that providing quality education to every child, regardless of geographical difficulties, should remain a top priority of every govt. He also stressed the importance of better classrooms, proper sanitation facilities, digital learning resources and a positive learning environment in govt schools situated in rural areas.
Gupta also expressed happiness over the progress made by Himachal Pradesh in the field of education at the national level. Referring to a performance report issued by the Union ministry of education, he said the state had secured sixth position in the country and third among the states after showing significant improvement in the field of education.
He praised the efforts of teachers serving in difficult and remote areas of the state and acknowledged their valuable contribution to society.
