Amritsar: Punjab Police's counter-intelligence wing arrested two suspected associates linked to foreign-based handlers of banned terror outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and seized two hand grenades, director general of police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said on Tuesday.The grenades were allegedly part of a larger conspiracy aimed at targeting govt institutions and key infrastructure to disrupt peace and law and order in the state, the DGP said. Security agencies suspect that the accused were operating under directions from handlers based abroad and were actively involved in terror-related activities. An FIR has been registered at the State Special Operation Cell, Amritsar, under provisions of Explosive Substances Act and BNS.
