BJP releases candidate list for HP zila parishad elections

Shimla: The BJP on Tuesday released a list of its candidates for the forthcoming Himachal Pradesh zila parishad elections.For the polls in the four zila parishad wards in Shimla, the party has fielded Bharat Bhushan from Balleyan, Kushal Vikram Sen from Chamiyana, Kamlesh Sharma from Halog-Dhami, and Shivani Thakur from Khatnol.In Solan district, 17 candidates include Meenakshi Thakur (Darla), Ramesh Thakur (Surajpur), Asha Parihar (Dumehar), Hari Chand (Wakna), Dharam Singh (Dhangil), Sheela Kumari (Dangri), Suman Lata (Chewa), Kripal Chand (Dharampur), Pankaj Sharma (Taksal), Sneha Lata (Dadwa), Man Singh (Mandhala), Vimla Devi (Kheda), Indu Thakur (Radyali), Gurpreet Kaur Chandel (Dabhota), Babu Ram (Lug), Anita Devi (Bawasni), and Jitendra Rana (Baglehar).In Sirmaur, BJP has decided to field Hansraj (Noharadhar), Ankita Thakur (Danaghato), Santosh Chauhan (Dadahu), Sunita Pojta (Rast), Indu Bala (Shillai), Balveer Pundir (Titiyana), Rajneesh Chauhan (Sataun), Devender Kaur (Bhagani), Rohit Chaudhary (Bhantawali), Charanjit Singh (Patalian), Malkit Singh Chaudhary (Dhaulakuan), Ankita Sharma (Bankla), Pramila Sharma (Trilokpur), Baldev Bhandari (Sarahan), Lekhraj (Lala Bhalta), Uma (Karganu), and Saroj Bala (Neri Kotli).In Kullu, the party choice include Thakur Das (Vashishth), Kamlesh Kumari (Jeshtha), Anil Rana (Larankelo), Sushil Kumar (Barshaini), Teja Singh Thakur (Dhaugi), Pinki Deci (Chayal), Nina Joshi (Bro), Yoginder Kumar (Bakhnao), Asha Thakur (Lajheri), Kusum Lata (Balagar), Parkash Chand (Jarad-Bhutti colony), Nisha Thakur (Mohal), Rajkumar Thakur (Dughilag) and Jindu Thakur (Katrain).Similarly, the party has announced candidates across Mahasu, Dehra, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Una, Chamba, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Mandi, Kangra, Nurpur, Palampur, and Sundernagar districts.The list was finalised by BJP's state election convenor Vipin Singh Parmar after "consultations and deliberations at the mandal, district, and state levels."The party said in a statement that criteria including loyalty to the organisation, experience in public service, and local acceptability were used in the selection of candidates.The extensive list reflects the party's organisational strength, social balance, and commitment to development, added the statement.
