Bengaluru shocker: Man gropes neighbour, attacks husband with frying pan and machete
BENGALURU: A 35-year-old-cabbie has been arrested on charges of groping a homemaker in her 30s, who is his neighbour and later attacking her husband with a machete for opposing him.The incident took place at Rangarao Road in Shankarapuram near Chamrajpet recently.Acting on a complaint filed by the woman, Shankarapuram police arrested the accused, Puttaraju. He is in judicial custody at Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara.The homemaker was washing utensils in the backyard of her house when Puttaraju allegedly groped her. "When she raised an alarm, her husband, a security personnel, came out. Angered, he took a machete from his house and rushed towards Puttaraju," an officer said.Puttaraju took a frying pan from the homemaker's utensil stock and hit the guard on his head, police said.As he fell, Puttaraju snatched the machete and attacked him, causing multiple injuries. By then, neighbours rushed in and rescued the guard. (The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
