Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy slams TDP for creating hurdles in pension disbursements
TIRUPATI: Kadapa YSRCP MP YS Avinash Reddy slammed Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu for creating hurdles in the disbursement of pensions for the elderly under the guise of the model code of conduct.Speaking to reporters in Kadapa on Monday, Avinash Reddy accused the TDP chief and his associates of obstructing the direct distribution of pensions to the elderly by approaching the election commission and sidelining volunteers."It is unfortunate that a leader of Naidu's stature, being a former Chief Minister, is resorting to various tactics to obstruct welfare benefits from reaching the beneficiaries. Due to the sidelining of volunteers, the elderly will face difficulties in receiving their pensions over the next two months, as they will have to leave their homes and visit the Sachivalayams to collect their pensions," remarked the Kadapa MP.Avinash Reddy also criticized the TDP for attempting to tarnish the YSRCP's image through various false propaganda."In addition to hindering pension disbursements, the TDP is also alleging that a shortage of funds in the treasury caused delays in pension payments, which is a baseless accusation far from the truth. Pensioners and the people of Andhra Pradesh have recognized the true intentions of the TDP and will respond by once again supporting the YSRCP in the upcoming elections. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has fulfilled every promise made to the people of the state over the last five years."
