Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry backs PM’s 7-point national appeal

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) has extended full support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 7-point national appeal aimed at strengthening India’s economic resilience, self-reliance and sustainable growth amid global economic uncertainty and geopolitical challenges.GCCI has urged industries, businesses and citizens to adopt a “nation first” approach to support national development priorities and reduce external dependence. The chamber appealed to trade bodies across Gujarat to actively implement the seven measures, including reducing fuel consumption, promoting public transport, encouraging carpooling, adopting virtual meetings and hybrid work models, avoiding non-essential international travel, prioritizing Indian-made products and domestic manufacturing, and promoting sustainable natural farming and lower dependence on chemical fertilizers.GCCI president Sandeep Engineer said, “This appeal is a roadmap for a resilient, self-reliant and economically stronger India.”The chamber said it will mobilize Gujarat’s industrial and business community for responsible economic participation and sustainable operational practices.
