Agra: A 36-year-old autorickshaw driver from Delhi-NCR and his 15-year-old son were killed and three other family members injured after the autorickshaw they were travelling in collided with an ambulance in Agra’s Bichpuri area on Sunday.
Police said Nemi Singh had come to his ancestral village, Sadarvan, with his family to attend his cousin’s wedding in the same autorickshaw he drove for work. On Sunday, he was heading to a market with his wife and three sons when the accident occurred.
The collision overturned the three-wheeler, and CCTV footage of the incident showed the ambulance dragging the vehicle for some distance after the crash.
Singh’s wife, Kanta, and his two other sons, Nikhil and Prashant, were admitted to SN Medical College for treatment.
Jagdishpura SHO Pradeep Kumar Singh said, “We reached the spot after receiving information and shifted the injured to hospital. The bodies were later sent for postmortem examination.”
