Solar Eclipse 2022 LIVE Updates: The last surya grahan of 2022 was seen in India today i.e., October 25, 2022. The solar eclipse was seen in some parts of the world including India. The partial solar eclipse was visible from different parts of India at different timings, the Sutak period started from 4 am in the morning. Due to the eclipse, Govardhan Puja will be celebrated tomorrow i.e., on October 26, 2022 and Bhaiya Dooj on October 27, 2022. Surya Grahan timing in India was from at 4:29 pm till 6:09 pm. Remedies to avoid inauspicious effects of Suraj Grahan

Donate wheat, jaggery, copper or ghee to any temple or Brahmin.
Feed fried Bread to black dogs.
Offer water to the Sun.
Chant Aditya Hriday Stotra.
Feed the cow with green fodder.
Feed the birds with a mixture of grains.
Stay away from meat and liquor and keep the conduct pure.
Donate rice to Durga Mata's temple.
Offer water or milk mixed with saffron to Lord Shiva.

Prohibited actions during solar eclipse

Avoid sleeping at the time of eclipse, only the elderly, unwell persons and infants are allowed during the eclipse.
Cooking and eating food during the eclipse period is both inauspicious, but unhealthy people can take medicines.
One should not buy land during the eclipse period. Initiation of any kind of Manglik work is prohibited.
It is also prohibited to touch and worship the idol of God during the eclipse period.
Watering and touching the Tulsi plant is prohibited.
Pregnant women should avoid going out of the house during the eclipse period.

Major temples in T'gana, Andhra closed due to solar eclipse

All the major temples in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been closed today on account of the solar eclipse. All the worship services have also been suspended at these temples. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD)-run Venkateswara temple at Tirumala in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh was shut at 8 am today and will reopen at 7.30 pm. All the temples under TTD management have also been closed due to the solar eclipse on Tuesday.

Watch solar eclipse from hilltop in Jaipur via 'astro night sky tourism'

The Rajasthan government's Department of Science and Technology is organising a special event under 'Astro Night Sky Tourism', in which sky-gazing enthusiasts will be able to watch the partial solar eclipse on Tuesday using glasses in the presence of experts, said Kailash Mishra, curator, Science Park. The programme is being organised free of cost for those interested in astro-science, said Mishra. The event will be organised at the Surya Mandir, Galta Gate hilltop from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

NASA says, "Except during the brief total phase of a total solar eclipse, when the Moon completely blocks the Sun’s bright face, it is not safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing. Viewing any part of the bright Sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury."
