Biography
Born in Saharanpur, Vijendra Agarwal, left India in 1973 after Ph.D. (Physics) from IIT Roorkee. A researcher in Italy, Japan, and France, he came to US in 1978. He was faculty, academic administrator in universities, and an Executive Fellow in the White House S&T Policy. In 2014, an NGO, Vidya Gyan, to serve rural India toward education, health, and empowerment of girls. His passion for writing include policy, politics, people, and social/cultural topics promoting community engagement.

A trained mechanical engineer in Minneapolis since 1965, Gada was a successful engineering consultant for several decades. Today, this humble entrepreneur is appropriately credited as a fine "historian" for his service in preserving the history of, and contributions by, NRIs in Minnesota. Inspired by a teacher, Gada was bitten by the history bug as a young student.

Minneapolis-based Ranee Ramaswamy and his daughters, Aparna and Ashwini, are a unique family: they have been showcasing the beauty of Bharatnatyam for nearly 30 years to a predominantly western audience.

Sita Kantha Dash, born in Tunpur, Odisha came to USA in 1969 and earned a doctorate in nutrition in 1973. Currently living in Minneapolis, he embodies the “American dream” as an innovator, entrepreneur, community leader and philanthropist. His vision and hard work led a little known probiotics company in the seventies to an industry worth $35 billion today. Probiotics are generally regarded good bacteria for the digestive system.
