Biography
Born in Saharanpur, Vijendra Agarwal, left India in 1973 after Ph.D. (Physics) from IIT Roorkee. A researcher in Italy, Japan, and France, he came to US in 1978. He was faculty, academic administrator in universities, and an Executive Fellow in the White House S&T Policy. In 2014, an NGO, Vidya Gyan, to serve rural India toward education, health, and empowerment of girls. His passion for writing include policy, politics, people, and social/cultural topics promoting community engagement.

A trained mechanical engineer in Minneapolis since 1965, Gada was a successful engineering consultant for several decades. Today, this humble entrepreneur is appropriately credited as a fine "historian" for his service in preserving the history of, and contributions by, NRIs in Minnesota. Currently living in Minneapolis, he embodies the “American dream” as an innovator, entrepreneur, community leader and philanthropist. His vision and hard work led a little known probiotics company in the seventies to an industry worth $35 billion today. Probiotics are generally regarded good bacteria for the digestive system.
