A member of the King Charles III’s ceremonial artillery unit has died following a tragic fall from a horse during the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Friday evening.The soldier, serving with the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, collapsed after leaving the arena around 7pm BST, BBC reported. Despite receiving immediate medical attention, they suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.Police from Thames Valley Police said the death is being treated as “unexplained but not suspicious,” and confirmed there is no evidence of foul play.Investigations are ongoing in coordination with the Ministry of Defence and event organisers at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.According to the BBC, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said King Charles was “greatly shocked and saddened” by the news and would offer personal condolences to the soldier’s family.Royal Family members were present at the event but were not informed of the seriousness of the incident until later.The Army also issued a statement expressing deep regret and sympathy, while confirming the soldier’s family has been informed.Organisers said the show will continue as scheduled, but the King’s Troop display has been removed from the programme.Officials have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as inquiries continue into how the incident occurred.
