Rishi Sunak visits temple for Janmashtami, says Gita gives him strength to keep on fighting

Amid a gruelling campaign for the leadership of the Conservative party, former British Chancellor Rishi Sunak visited the Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Temple in Hertfordshire ahead of Janmashtami. Sunak and his wife Akshata were welcomed by temple officials and volunteers in the traditional Hindu way. Addressing the gathering, Sunak said that the teachings of Geeta gives him strength to keep fighting in the most difficult situations. Rishi Sunak is amidst a tough race to become the leader of the Conservative party, and pollsters predict that his rival Liz Truss will win the race easily. However, Sunak says that he will keep fighting till the last day to get support of Conservative party members.
