A new maritime confrontation may be unfolding between Iran and the United States after Iranian media claimed a sanctioned LPG tanker successfully crossed a U.S. naval blockade line and reached Iran’s Kharg Island. According to IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency, the tanker was previously spotted near the Indian coast before entering Iranian waters without detection. The developments come as Tehran increases its operational focus around the Strait of Hormuz — one of the world’s most critical energy choke points.
