Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has delivered a sharp rebuke to the United States and Israel over their strikes on Iran, saying they likely now realise “how wrong they were” if they believed the country could be defeated quickly. Speaking after talks in Moscow, Lavrov accused United States of pursuing strategic resources rather than genuine negotiations over Iran’s nuclear programme.
