Iran Activates Air Defences On Qeshm Island After Explosions; Gulf War Fears Explode

Fresh tensions have erupted near the Strait of Hormuz after explosions were reportedly heard on Iran’s strategically important Qeshm Island. According to Mehr News Agency and Middle East Monitor, Iranian air defence systems were activated against suspected drones over the island, while officials confirmed explosions in the area. No damage has been reported so far. The incident comes as Qeshm Island remains central to the IRGC’s recently expanded “operational area” around the Strait of Hormuz.
