In Eid Video, Saudi Warns Iran, Signals Its Military Options Are Ready | Watch

As the Muslim world celebrated Eid al-Fitr, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defence marked the occasion with a military readiness video not celebration. The subtext was unmistakable after three weeks in which Iran struck Riyadh and the Eastern Province, targeted the city while Arab foreign ministers were gathered there for emergency talks. Saudi FM Prince Faisal bin Farhan said Tehran's strike on Riyadh during the Arab ministers' meeting was "the clearest signal of how Iran feels about diplomacy." Saudi Arabia has warned military options are ready. The 2023 China-brokered Iran-Saudi normalisation has effectively collapsed. Riyadh is now openly signalling what it spent years trying to avoid saying.
