Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed explosive new details about behind-the-scenes negotiations involving Iran’s nuclear program, claiming that Russia, the United States, Iran, and even Israel had once agreed on a confidential framework to transfer enriched uranium out of Iran. Speaking publicly, Putin said Moscow had successfully brokered a similar arrangement back in 2015 and was prepared to repeat the process to prevent further escalation in the Middle East. According to Putin, Russia proposed sending Iran’s enriched uranium to a “friendly country.” Putin claimed that all parties initially supported the proposal before negotiations collapsed after Washington allegedly pushed for the uranium to be transferred only to US territory.
