A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker declared an in-flight emergency while flying over Jordan, issuing a “7700” distress signal before turning back towards Tel Aviv, according to reports. The aircraft had reportedly been operating over Iraq in support of ongoing military operations. Flight tracking data suggested a rapid descent before coverage was lost at low altitude, though some reports indicate it later landed safely at Ben Gurion Airport.
