Watch: Nagpur celebrates Mahavir Jayanti with religious procession, traditional dance

On the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, the Jain Samaj took out a grand shobha yatra in Nagpur. The shobha yatra started from Digambar Jain Parwar Mandir in Itwari and ended at Mahavir Garden. This year the shobha yatra had a special attraction of a 600-ft long Ahinsa Rath consisting of 23 small raths with a message of Jio and Jeene apart from the main rath carrying the 24th Tirthankar Mahavir’s idol. The main aim of the procession was to spread awareness about world peace. The idol of Shreeji was placed on a chariot.
