Gulki Joshi joins the cast of Yaadein; says 'The moment I heard the narration, I knew I wanted to be associated with the show'
Gumm Yaadein - Ek Doctor, Do Zindagiyaan is the Indian adaptation of the globally acclaimed Italian series DOC. The show which has been successfully adapted across multiple countries will be soon be airing in India. Acclaimed actor Gulki Joshi joins the cast to portray the pivotal role of Srishti, Dr. Dev Mehta’s ex-wife. Gulki will be seen essaying a strong, intelligent and emotionally complex woman who balances both her professional and personal worlds with quiet resilience. A former doctor, Srishti gave up her practice to raise her children and later took charge of the administrative responsibilities at the hospital where Dr. Dev worked. She believes their marriage fell apart due to Dev’s drastic personality after the tragic loss of their six-year-old son, Dhruv, which left their relationship beyond repair. However, fate takes an unexpected turn when Dev suffers memory loss. Srishti is suddenly confronted with a version of him she hasn’t seen in years as a tender, devoted man who is deeply in love with her all over again.
Speaking about stepping into the role, Gulki Joshi shared, “I’m genuinely very excited to be a part of Yaadein. The moment I heard the narration, I knew this was a story I wanted to be associated with. It didn’t feel loud or dramatic, but instead the story felt real. The emotions, the relationships everything felt honest and relatable. For me, saying yes to a show is never only about the role. It’s about the overall feeling you get, the story you’re stepping into, the people you’ll be working with, and whether the script moves you as an actor and as a person. This project has given me that comfort and that excitement at the same time. The energy on set already feels positive and focused, and that makes a huge difference. When everyone believes in the story they’re telling, that makes the process so much more special.”
