Gaurav Khanna reacts to ‘Bigg Boss 19’ finale topping TRPs and surpassing ‘Anupamaa’: 'Wherever I am today is because of the character Anuj Kapadia'

Gaurav Khanna is soaking in a career-high moment after winning ‘Bigg Boss 19’. The actor recently opened up about the show’s historic finale, which topped the TRP charts and even surpassed his former hit show, ‘Anupamaa’. The moment came with mixed emotions for Gaurav. Pride for the massive win and gratitude for the show that made him a household name.In a conversation with India Forums, Gaurav reacted to the finale’s record-breaking numbers. He said, “Main bahut khush hua, you know, baad mein maine padha ki Bigg Boss finale ki jo TRP thi, usne baaki saare shows ko peeche chhod diya.” (I felt really happy. Later, I read that the TRP of the 'Bigg Boss' finale was higher than all other shows). The happiness doubled when he realized which show was overtaken. He added, “Aur phir maine dekha ki jis show ko peeche kiya gaya, wo bhi mera purana show hi tha. Toh wo bhi ek alag khushi hai, kyunki us show ne bhi mujhe bahut support kiya.” (And then I saw that the show which was overtaken was my own former show. That brings a different kind of happiness, because that show supported me immensely).Gaurav did not shy away from crediting his rise to fame to his iconic role in ‘Anupamaa’. He said, “Aaj main jahan hoon, Anuj Kapadia ke character ki wajah se hoon, kyunki sabse pehle wahan par logon ne mujhe itna pyaar diya.” (Wherever I am today is because of the character Anuj Kapadia. That is where people first showered me with so much love)Reflecting on his journey, he further added, “Uske baad maine Celebrity MasterChef jeeta, aur phir ye Bigg Boss ki trophy ghar aayi.” (After that, I won 'Celebrity MasterChef.' Then, the 'Bigg Boss' trophy came home).Expressing heartfelt thanks to his fans, Gaurav concluded, “So I am very happy and full of gratitude ki logon ne mujhe itna pyaar diya hai.
