Joseph Duggar case: Amy Duggar King breaks down in tears over cousin’s wife, Kendra Duggar’s arrest

‘19 Kids and Counting’ alum and Joseph Duggar’s cousin, Amy Duggar King, has shared her reaction after Kendra Duggar was also arrested in the case that involved ‘endangering the welfare of a minor.’ Amy Duggar King shared a video showing herself getting emotional.

Amy Duggar King gets emotional over Kendra Duggar’s arrest

Amy Duggar King took to her Instagram stories to share, “I don't know what's going on,” Amy said in her video while in tears. “And our local news is saying that there's more and there's been, someone else has been arrested and there's stuff going on and I'm just, I don't know.”

“I just thought everyone should know that there's more to this story,” she added. “I don't know what it is though.”

She shared the clip on March 20, the same day that Kendra, 27, was arrested. A few days earlier, on March 18, Amy’s cousin and Kendra’s husband, Joseph Duggar, 31, was also arrested. He has been charged with allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl while on a Florida vacation, while the couple is facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment, according to Arkansas authorities.

Amy Duggar King also reacted to Joseph Duggar’s arrest

Following the news of Joseph’s arrest, Amy issued a statement saying she was "utterly shocked to hear about these allegations and Joseph’s arrest.” However, "at the same time, I am not surprised that another alleged predator has emerged from this toxic system," she added.

Amy also noted in her message that family ties “should never equal automatic trust or access,” especially when it comes to the safety of children. She concluded her statement saying that she was "praying for the victim and her family as they walk through what is sure to be an incredibly difficult road ahead"

Kendra’s hearing is on March 23, and she will be due in court again on April 29.
