The Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences (upsifs) will commence diploma and certificate courses from June-end or July beginning. The decision to start the courses was taken on Monday during the second board meeting of the governing body formed to operate the institute.

To expedite preparation of rules for selection and qualification of educational and non-academic cadres of Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences (upsifs) in Lucknow, a meeting was held at the command centre of the home department at Lok Bhawan.

The structure of Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science (upsifs) is likely to be completed by December-end and the academic session is to commence by next year. Union home minister Amit Shah had laid the foundation of the institute last August.
